Capable of enhancing your visual, audible, and olfactory experience, the Holovision can be seen over the eyes of most Fragrance citizens. In addition, since it is so affordable (with its budget model priced at ~500 R), most omniware developers don’t even bother writing code for any other platform.
How Holovision’s augmented reality works is by displaying some visual over a “base point”. Base points are a collection of black dots, arranged in a square, similar in appearance to the QR code back in 2020’s. When the Holovision pans over a base point, it replaces the base point with the programmed visual.
The implication of this technology is that signage manufacturers rapidly went out of business, with all their signs being replaced by base points. It wasn’t just signage either; traffic lights and zebra crossings, advertisements, public service announcements, billboards, and even some mobile device screens, were all being replaced by base points. Nowadays, walking the streets of Fragrance without your Holovision on is an experience in and of itself.
