F.A.R. Tonight News (or FTNews) is the region’s largest, and only, news outlet. The journalism conglomerate handles almost all public communications, reporting daytime and nighttime news.

Their news stories are typically categorized into separate channels, such as finance, violent crime, nonviolent crime, weather/climate, corporate activity, legal activity, and front-page events happening in the region.

History

FTNews was not always the single news source for FAR residents. Prior to the second Civil War, FAR had many news outlets, which promoted competition and integrity; whoever reported verifiable truth the quickest would come out on top.

However, some news outlets poked and prodded where they should not have, threatening to expose delicate secrets held by dangerous individuals. One by one, after investigating criminal faction activity, or corruption in the highest levels of FAR’s corporations, journalists (and their companies) began to “disappear.”
